09/30/2021 - Fundraiser Celebration

All students at Lakeland Intermediate were treated to a celebration for their efforts in raising almost $10,000 for the student activity account. LIS held a no hassle online donation fundraiser through the Step It Up program.

The fundraiser company brought in bounce houses for every student to participate in and other levels of prizes for students who raised different amounts of money for the school.

08/11/2021 - Lakeland Intermediate starts new concept of community to kick-off the new school year

We had a very special all school convocation at LIS this morning. We are starting something brand new for 2021! All 460+ students and staff were "sorted" this morning, Harry Potter stye into 4 "houses". The houses, and smaller families within the house will meet regularly to work on character lessons, sources of strength lessons, and more. Students in grades 3rd-6th will be intermingled in houses and families. Students will be able to earn house points by their good behavior! The houses will earn celebrations throughout the school year based on the points earned!

First Day at Lakeland Intermediate School

08/10/2021 - LIS welcomed back over 460 students back to school on Tuesday, August 10. Students spent the first day learning the school expectations and procedures as well as building relationships between teacher and students.

07/29/2021 - We welcomed 22 new to Lakeland Intermediate School students Thursday during new student registration.
New LSC Superintendent, Dr. Greg Baker, stopped in to greet our new families as well!

LCYC ART CAMP

07/24/2021 - Lakeland Intermediate School was host to the week long LCYC at camp this past week.
Campers created several different projects throughout the week and then highlighted them at an Art Fair celebration on Friday.

Jump-Start Summer School at Lakeland Intermediate School

07/12/2021 - Lakeland Intermediate School kicked off an eight day summer school jumpstart program today.
Incoming third grade students through sixth grade students were Specifically invited to this program to give them a good jumpstart to the upcoming school year.
