Lakeland Intermediate School 6th Grade Christmas Postcard Creations

LIS 6th grade students created the annual Christmas Postcards which are not on display at the LaGrange Country Courthouses lawn.



Lakeland Intermediate holds Santa Shop

Thank you to all of the parents, community members, and staff that helped to make the Lakeland Intermediate Santa Shop such a huge success for our students! The Santa Shop is a place for students to Christmas shop for family and friends.



Miller's and Lakeland Administrative Team join forces

Lakeland School Corporation Administrative Team and Miller's Market combined efforts to donate 150 loaves of bread and 150 jars of Peanut Butter which will be sent home for the holiday break with students. The bread and peanut butter will supplement the Blessings in a Backpack weekly student food donation. Students who normally receive the Blessings in a Backpack food will take home these extra items to have over the upcoming Christmas Break.



English Language Learners build Gingerbread Houses at Lakeland Intermediate School

A Christmas Story at Lakeland Intermediate School

5th grade students in Mr. Barrand’s class wrote a Christmas story as a group. The first person started a story that was fantasy, realistic fiction, or personal narrative. After five minutes, the iPads were passed down the row. A new writer would read the story and continue it in his/her own way.

6th Grade English/Language Arts

6th graders in Miss Reeve’s class are working on their DLR, otherwise known as Daily Language Review. Students first work indirectly to fix grammatical mistakes in the sentences at their seats then work collaboratively to share and discuss what they did to make corrections.

Lakeland Intermediate starts Student Ambassador Program

12/03/19. The Lakeland Leaders kicked off their first meeting Wednesday morning at Lakeland Intermediate School. This is a student ambassador program consisting of selected 5th and 6th grade students. The leaders will help teach life skills to their peers by going into classrooms and leading discussions throughout the school year.
