Lakeland Intermediate School Staff "Talk Safety" at Staff Meeting
photo of students
Lakeland Intermediate held its first monthly staff meeting this morning which also involved a review of safety procedures. Teachers had to walk through a tabletop exercise of being outside with their class with an approaching tornado. This was a great exercise to work through together and brainstorm all the ways to keep our kids safe in a given situation.

Also as part of our staff meeting celebrations we honored to teachers as staff of the month. Congratulations to our first winners of staff of the month. Mrs. Schackow and Mrs. Plew had their names drawn this morning from the many nominations of other staff members. Every month two names will be drawn from the nominations for staff members of the month. Teachers have a nice collection of prizes to choose from if their name gets drawn.
